ROAD MAP TO A BUILDING A STRONG BRAND

169views

Here’s two questions:
Do you have a business? Or do you work in a business that you care deeply about? If you answered “yes” to either of these – Do you know what it means to have a STRONG BRAND?

There are the obvious direct results:

– More people know about your business
– Clients are more likely to stick with you
– You are more likely to get referrals from your clients

The true value of a strong brand is in the fact that you are seen as trustworthy after years of a good track record!

It used to take 20-30 years of business to be well-known, with brick and mortar stores… but with the advent of online – your brand can be set up and strong within months!

So how does one get started…?

1. GET ONLINE, SOMEHOW

Make a decision on what your brand needs… First you need a website (we’ll touch on that later…) But you can begin with social media!  Are your clients predominantly mature? Then Facebook is where you can start. Do you have creative products on sale (i.e. Clothing?)

Instagram/Pinterest will work perfectly!

2. START POSTING, WITH THE INTENT TO PROVIDE VALUE

Some businesses get the “posting part” right… they just make the mistake of posting things that provide no real value to anyone. Have you ever visited a Real Estate company page before? They just list new houses on the market. You find that some businesses only want to sell you things, again and again.

So, provide value! If you’re a Real Estate company, teach your readers how to increase the value of their house or something – but give something of tangible value – put your years of industry expertise to use!

3. KEEP IT UP

If you’re going to build a brand, it takes more than one blog post. You have to keep at it – at least twice a week or something! If you’re a construction company, list your projects when they are completed on your chosen social media – but describe them too! The challenges you faced, what things clients can expect during a build… things of interest.

If you can do this – your potential customers will be able to see that you’re living, breathing people behind the framework of your business – and that’s what you’re going for! Authenticity reflected online. If you can start on these few areas, namely starting up an online reflection of your business on social media – you’re off to a good start.
